Computer/Video Game Assessment in Australia/New Zealand:
Computer and video games released in Australia are required by law to be rated prior to release. Game classification is the responsibility of the Classification Board (was previously handled by the OFLC).
Visit the Australian Classification Board website for more details. Note that Australian ratings may also be eligible for a New Zealand release.
Our Service:
Titles submitted to the classification board without a report from an Authorised Assessor incur additional costs.
We provide a service by assessing titles on the behalf of companies who may not have access to an Authorised Assessor. This may significantly reduce the cost of having a title rated for Australian/NZ release.
Additionally, our trained Authorised Assessor can give advance notification of the expected rating for a title and highlight areas within a game that may affect the rating.
Our service is aimed at smaller or downloadable titles, including WiiWare™, DSiWare™, XBLA™, PSN™, mobile and PC titles. We will however accept submissions for any computer or video game.

Our Authorised Assessor has undertaken the required computer game training modules, and is legally authorised to make assessments for video games to be released in Australian markets.Note that by law, the assessments provided by authorised assessors are only guidelines - the classification board makes the final decision with regards to ratings.
